Alberto Forchielli – Managing Partner

One of the founding partners of Mandarin Capital Partners, Alberto Forchielli gets his strategic expertise from over 30 years of experience in the international business arena, with prime focus on China and India international business development.

As entrepreneur, in the early 2000s he founded Sourcing Solutions Ltd and subsequently “Osservatorio Asia”, a non–profit research center focused on Asia. Previously, Alberto Forchielli worked for three years by the World Bank in Washington DC, where he started as senior Adviser in the Private Sector Development Department. He was then seconded to the European Investment Bank where he was in charge of the Balkans area. In the previous five years he lived in Singapore, working as President of the Asia-Pacific branch of Finmeccanica S.p.A.. In the early 90s he worked by IRI Group as General Secretary for Privatizations, and supervised twenty divestments of state-owned enterprises for a total value of about 10 billion USD. He was previously Consultant and Managing Partner in MAC Group for more than a decade, living and working in Boston, London, Santiago and Lima, before assuming Senior Management position and initiating MAC’s Italian branch. He has been director in several leading Italian listed and non-listed companies.
Holding a MBA with Honors from Harvard Business School and a "cum laude" BA in Economics from University of Bologna, Alberto Forchielli is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish and French. He sits in the Corporate Advisory Board of CEIBS (China Europe International Business School), one of the world's top 30 business schools.
