One of the founding partners of Mandarin Capital Partners, Alberto Forchielli owes his strategic expertise to twenty-five years of experience in the international business arena, some ten of which primarily focused on China and India international business development.
He is currently professor of Business Administration at the University of Bologna and he sits in the Board of Directors of a number of leading Italian listed and non listed companies. Entrepreneur, he founded in the early 2000 Sourcing Solutions Ltd (a company offering industrial and sourcing solutions for Italian companies in China), which he presides, as well as subsequently founded and actually presides “Osservatorio Asia”, a non – profit research center focused on Asia.Prior to this, Alberto Forchielli worked for three years at the World Bank in Washington, DC, where he was first senior Adviser in the Private Sector Development Department, and then seconded to the European Investment Bank to work on the Balkans area. In the previous five years he lived in Singapore as President, Asia Pacific, of Finmeccanica S.p.A.
In the early 90s at the IRI Group, he was appointed Secretary General for Privatisation, and supervised twenty divestments of state-owned enterprises for a total ten billions USD value.Previously Consultant and Managing Partner with the MAC Group for more than a decade, he lived and worked in Boston, London, Santiago and Lima, before assuming Senior Management position and initiating MAC’s Italian practice.
While holding a MBA with Honors from Harvard Business School and a cum laude BA in Economics from University of Bologna, Alberto Forchielli is fluent in Italian, English, Spanish and French.
